By Enchantments' Editor & Staff With all the heat waves going on (we know you're feeling it), it's time to take advantage of what's right in your home for some magical restoration: the bath tub. Now that we're in the thick of summer with Lammas approaching (aka the midway point between summer and fall), you may find yourself having serious FOMO lately watching others in tropical, water lush places, especially if you're stuck behind a desk or indoors all day. If you can't indulge in a cool dip within a natural spring or the ocean, consider working a calming bath ritual into your routine over the next few weeks. Here are some ritual tips from experts and supplies to help you on your water ritual journey. Start by picking out a few days per week for your bath ritual, which can be either in the morning or evening. Some prefer an evening bath ritual, since it helps relax them after a long day, but a meditative morning spent in the tub with fresh flowers, oils, and sea salt can be just the reset we need to prep for and begin the day. Plus, you're still in a semi-dream state upon waking, so insights can come a bit easier at this time. Use warm water, not extra hot, so you can really settle in. Add in sea salt to the bath and a few drops of essential oils. Before you begin the week, pick up a bouquet of flowers at your local shop or farmer's market. Even better, spend an afternoon picking wildflowers from a field on your own. Try to get them on a Sunday, so you can begin the week with your ritual and also use the flowers to both enliven your home space and your bath experience. When selecting the flowers, use your intuition to pick out the ones for you --- noticing the colors, scents, and visual experience of the bouquet. To welcome in more love and self-love into your life, sprinkle in a few rose petals to your bath. Calendula or marigold is great for the solar plexus and emotional healing/resets, while lavender is good for intuition and cleansing. Do a little research into the spiritual properties of each flower you use and create affirmations around it: "I invite more love into my life" or "I'm manifesting prosperity and abundance this week," etc. Next, consider the following recommendations from Enchantments' staff member Marisabel: *Note: Everything highlighted in purple is linked to the Enchantments' shop website for direct online ordering** How to make your own Uncrossing Bath: "I love to add holy water and Florida water into the bath. If you want to add your own uncrossing herbs and make a 'bath tea' that you would boil, strain and let cool, try hyssop, mugwort and rue." Tip for Fast Luck: "I like to make our Fast Luck bath into a daily scrub by adding honey to it so the magic sticks." To harness Solar energies: "For celebrations, I like to add a splash of champagne to the bath or orange blossom water to attract all sweet things." To help with Love Uncrossing and Love Healing: "I love to add rose water to our Love Uncrossing bath or use Balm of Gilead and hibiscus flower." For more peace of mind: "I like to boil lavender and cornflowers and add that to the bath." Blessed be, witches x
